The Stihl MS291 semi-professional chainsaw has a modern design and features Stihl’s 2-stroke engine with 2-MIX technology which cuts fuel consumption by up to 20% and emissions by up to 50% when compared with Stihl’s conventional 2-stroke engines.
Stihl have fitted a 55.5cc engine to the MS291 that generates 2.8kW / 3.8hp and makes light work of general landscape, farm and garden maintenance tasks including felling, logging and cutting timber. The Stihl MS291 is a practical all-round chainsaw for farmers, landscapers and gardeners.
The MS291 features Stihl’s long-life air filter system to ensure maximum life from the air filter while professional anti-vibration technology, with precisely calculated buffer zones, reduces the transfer of vibration from the engine and chain to the front and rear handles ensuring operator comfort.
When it is time for a spot of maintenance, Stihl’s one piece removable engine cover makes access to the engine quick and easy ensuring minimum downtime during routine maintenance.
Adding chain oil and fuel is quick and easy thanks to Stihl’s quick release tank caps. A semi-transparent fuel tank allows you to easily check the fuel level without opening the tank.
Chain tensioning is achieved on the Stihl MS291 by loosening two nuts (combination tool provided) and using the side chain tensioner which keeps your hands away from the chain whilst turning the adjuster.
The Stihl MS291 is available with a 16” (40cm) or 18” (45cm) guide bar. Please note, cutting length will always be a little shorter than the bar length because of the way guide bars are measured. The difference between the guide bar length and cutting length varies by chainsaw model.
